Dorothea Young Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothea Young (Oakland, Oregon), who passed away on December 24, 2018 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her mother Joyce; her aunts, Eva Renquist, Edna Cole and Peggy Snyder; her children, Tirzah, Hannah, Diane Brown, Dick Brown of Oakland, Dave Young, Tricia Young of Alaska, Pam Holthofer and Don Holthofer of Philomath; her grandchildren, Sheri Silvers of Louisiana, Dave Brown (Jess) of Alaska, Kyle, Matthew, Kate Brown of Oakland, Tirzah and Hannah Young of Alaska; and her siblings, Bob Young (AIthea) of Oakland, Joyce, Patsy and Jack. She was also cherished by her parents purchased the two-story white house directly across from Locust Street from the school and their home quickly became the gathering place for mom and her older sister Joyce's friends.
