Though Sirkka may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, her essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Aarre Viitanen and Kerttu Viitanen (Saarinen); and her husband John Purkey. She was also cherished by her husband of 48 years, three children and their families, and one sister.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Shoreline Community Church (1251 Clark St, North Bend, OR 97459).
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Sirkka's memory can be made to Shoreline Community Church Missions, or Friends of the North Bend Public Library.
