He is survived by: his wife Alice Dexter of North Bend; his children, Karen Dexter of North Bend, Tom Dexter (Sandy) of North Bend, Susan Lindsey (Cliff) of Coos Bay and Rick Dexter (Maureen Stout) of North Bend; his brother Gene Dexter of Eugene; and his grandchildren, Jamie Morris of North Bend, Scott Dexter of Lakeview, Allison, Josiah Emerson of Reedsport, Wesley Dexter of North Bend, Marshal Giles of North Bend, Lyndee Dexter of Pendleton, Kira Lindsey of McMinnville, Brady Dexter, Randi Dexter of Reedsport, Chris and Chad Lindsey of Coos Bay. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and close friends.
