He was predeceased by: his parents, George Nitschke and Sylvia Nitschke (Comfort); his brother Merton Nitschke; his nephew Craig Nitschke; and his brother-in-law Jack Smith.
He is survived by: his spouse Connie Nitschke of North Bend; and his children, Debra Nitschke Lakey (Sam) of Coos Bay, Steve Nitschke (Melani) of North Bend and Scott Nitschke (Charlotte) of Edgewood, WA. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren.
