He was predeceased by: his wife Karen Merrill. He is survived by: his sisters, Alice Merrill of Portland and Mary Lou Neal (Joel) of Portland; and his children, Laura Kutsch (Mike), Richard Merrill (Kim) of Dallas, Tim Holmes (Nancy) of Grand Ronde and Connie Holmes of Sheridan. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.
