She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Merle Harwood Johnson and Ila Mae Johnson; her husband John Frederik August; her sister Lynne Ellen Johnson Withrow; her children, Ken James August, Michelle Leigh South, Jedediah David August, Gloria Lynne Webb and Emilee Irene August; and her grandchildren, Evan Alexander South, Jaden Rae South and Oaklee Lynne August-Dickerson. She was also cherished by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and many loving friends.

Our mother, Nana, Renie, or however you knew her, was one of the strongest, most compassionate, and empathetic women to ever walk this earth and our family was blessed to have her as a foundation in our lives.
