He was predeceased by: his sister Diana Borgum; and his parents, Lester Jay Ames and Helen Marie Ames. He is survived by: his wife Pamela Cook-Ames; his children, Eve-Maridy Rice (Tobias), Adam Cook (Shelley) and Seth Ames; his grandchildren, Madeleine, Kase Rice, Zoe and Ava Schrag; and his brother Roger Ames of Tucson, Arizona. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Milwaukie Lutheran Church (3810 SE Lake Rd, Milwaukie, OR 97222).
