He was predeceased by: his parents, Ora Gaylord and Ruth Gaylord; and his brother Raymond. He is survived by: his son Patrick; his wife Sandra Gaylord; his brother Roy; his sister-in-law Jan; his sister Barb; his nephew Patrick; his daughter-in-law Ann; his grandsons, Mitchell and Steven; and his granddaughters-in-law, Sarah and Stephanie. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

For his contributions to the organization, he was awarded Life Membership by PLSO.
