He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John H. Minihan and Margaret "Elaine" Minihan of Rockford, Illinois.; his wife Sandra; his children, Michael J. Minihan Jr., Sheila Wikoff and Ryan Minihan; his grandchildren, Skyler Hamilton, Courtney Hightower, Dylan Carlson, Jacob Wilson, Sarah Wilson, Steffanie Carr, Tiffanie Wikoff, Emmily, Eirinn, Shawn and Alexandria Minihan; his great grandchildren, Cailan, David, Kellen, Sophie, Kierra and Theo; and his sisters, Frances Taets and Patricia Johnson.
