He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Cordelia Reed and Rolland Chittenden; his brother Bert; his wife Patricia; his daughters, Loree (Rick) and Dawn (Scott); his granddaughters, Amber (Joe) and Summer; his great grandchildren, Curtis, Tyler, Breanna, Justin and Taliesin; his brothers, Gerald (Jae), Bob (Donna), Cecil (Betty), Doug (Judi) and Tom (Julie); and his siblings-in-law, Dennis Mayhew (Pam), Jean Perrine (Spence), Frances Chittenden and Et Chambers (Frank).
