He was predeceased by : his parents, Leonard Patterson and Nina Patterson (Ofe); his parents-in-law, Oran "Shorty" Raburn and Doris Raburn; and his nephew Alvin Patterson.

He is survived by : his wife Dotha; his sons, Chuck (Kimberly Patterson) and Brett (Genevieve Patterson); his granddaughters, Kaylee (Lee Hofman), Savannah (Austin Say), Emelia and Athena Patterson; his great grandchild Hartlee Hofman; his siblings, Robert Patterson (Juanita), Lowell Patterson and Elaine White; and his brother-in-law Jerry Raburn (Judy). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held on Friday, June 21st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Prineville Funeral Home (199 NE 10th St, Prineville, OR 97754).
