He was predeceased by: his parents, R. Doyle and Myrtle; and his siblings, Carolyn Symms, Raymond Varner, Cecil Cardwell and Theron Cardwell.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Anne Davies; his sons, R. D. (Danelle) and Will (Melanie); his siblings, Kathy Symms Mertz and Jim Graham (Jim); and his grandsons, Liam, Tresler, Samuel and George.
