In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Walter Dale leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Walter Dale may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Mattson and Nora Mattson (Cosner); his brother Rollie Mattson; and his son-in-law Shane Darner. He is survived by: his wife Carol Lee Lovely; his children, Cheri Keffer (David) of La Grande, OR, Cindy Bonney (Ronnie) of La Grande, OR, Cristie Hedden (Mike) of Helena, MT and Stacey Mattson (Loey) of La Grande, OR; and his sisters, Margaret Byron (Norval) of La Grande, OR and Pearl Croghan (Terrel) of Elgin, OR. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and their spouses; 14 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and aunts and uncles.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Loveland Funeral Chapel (1508 Fourth St, La Grande, OR 97850).
