It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Violet Marie Matthews (La Grande, Oregon), born in Brule, Nebraska, who passed away on January 16, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey Einspahr and Alba Einspahr (Santero); her husband Donald Matthews; her brother Fredrick Einspahr; her sons, Victor Leroy Byrd and Fredrick Lee Byrd; and her granddaughters, Jennie Byrd and Brandi Born.
She is survived by: her daughter Lita Aldrich; her stepchildren, Nancy Binford (Chris), Davide Matthews (Judy), Sandy Moalaeno, Gale Matthews and Larry Matthews; and her sister Madeline Tira (Steve Byrd) of Weiser. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
