He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Verna Heier Black and Leon Heier; his wife Greta Messersmith; his friend Norm; and his daughters, Glenda Barton, Ralene Olsen and Lorie Odegaard. He was also cherished by 7 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.
