It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Grace Catherine Torkelson of La Grande, Oregon, who passed away on February 1, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Lauver and Elizabeth Lauver; her husband Kenneth Torkelson; her son-in-law David Gingerich; and her children, Earl Torkelson, Arlene Torkelson, Violet Torkelson and Charlene Amendt.
She is survived by: her daughters, Betty Anne Gingerich of Halsey, OR and Phyllis Amendt (Menno) of Grande Prairie, AL; her sons-in-law, George Amendt of Danskin, B. C., Kelvin Torkelson (Donna) of La Grande, OR, Allen Torkelson (Anna) of Duchess and Kent Torkelson (Wendy) of Duchess, Alta.; and her sisters, Mabel Paetkau (Walter) and Violet Beam (Titus). She is also survived by 26 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren.
