She was predeceased by: her parents, William Houston and Ethel Houston; her husband Jap Guthrie; her children, Marshall Guthrie and Mary Lawson Renfro; her granddaughter Sheri Duran Grim; and her great grandchildren, Garret Guthrie and Desirae Girtman.

She is survived by: her children, Billy Guthrie, Betty Guthrie, Martha Reed, Richard Reed, Ann Duran, Robert Duran, Bobby Guthrie, Debbie Guthrie and Roy Houston.
