He was predeceased by: his parents, Don Hammack and Ella Hammack; his brothers, Bob and Ron; and his granddaughters, Grace and Natalie.

He is survived by: his children, Barb (Mike), Brian (Christa) and Linda; and his wife Mary.

In remembrance of John, donations may be made to the Oregon Humane Society.
