He was predeceased by: his parents, John and Clara; and his siblings, Thora, Willard, Sarah, Elenor and Bessie.

He is survived by: his wife Patricia Holyoak; and his children, Joan, Anne (John), John (Joyce), Paul (Paula) and Gary. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.
