He was predeceased by: his children, David and Karen. He is survived by: his former wife Marna; his wife Patricia "Patty" Shirley (Beard); and his grandchildren, Sharon Lewis, David Hahn and Charles Hahn. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren.

Contributions may be made to the church, Willamette Valley Hospice or charity of choice.
