She was predeceased by: her parents, Virginia Bickerdike and Ernest Bickerdike of Santa Barbara, CA.. She is survived by: her brother Peter Bickerdike; her sister-in-law Katie Bickerdike of Hacienda Heights, CA; her nieces, Jennifer Gutierres and Liberty McCormick; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Trevor McCormick, Ethan Gutierres, Payton and Taylor McCormick.

Cathy worked for the American Foundation for the Blind.

“My deepest sympathy to Cathy's family and friends. Cathy and I (Donna Waddle Johnson) lived in the same dormitory at Linfield College back in the 60's. We shared some good college times and she was always excited to share her record collection. If I remember correctly, she bought every Simon and Garfunkel album. Our paths crossed in Salem and Keizer, OR where we both lived. I visited her in Keizer and marveled at her work with the blind and also with her cat rescues. Fond memories of her.”
