He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Franklin and Ola Gladys Fusselman (VanLaningham); his wife Edith Mae Peabody (Billings); his brothers, Virgil and Richard; and his grandson Byron.
He is survived by: his son Jeffrey Wayne; his stepchildren, Beverly Elaine, Eddie Lee and Lisa Renee; and his sister Maxine Dover. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
