She was loved and cherished by many people including: her mother Shirley M. Goertzen; her husband Melvin J. Goertzen; her brother Ronald E. Boyes; her offsprings, Karl Goertzen (Irene), Bruce Goertzen, Melva Headrick (J. C.) and Denny Goertzen; and her sister Charlene Mackinnon. She was also cherished by six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
