It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Matteo (Independence, Oregon), born in Waterbury, Connecticut, who passed away on January 11, 2019, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her children, Mary Gardner (Bob) of Camarillo, Calif., Joe Matteo (Nin) of Beavercreek and Ed Matteo (April) of Independence; her brothers, John Phillips (Janelle) of Florence and Bill Phillips (Helen) of Naugatuck; and her husband Joseph F Matteo (Joe). She was also cherished by eight granddaughters; and seven great-grandchildren.
