He was predeceased by: his parents, Mattie Dixon and George William Dixon; his stepparents, Clyde Kerl and Madge Dixon; his siblings, Elanore, Herb and Rick; his stepsiblings, Ester, LD and Vernon; and also Danny.

He is survived by: his wife Mary; and his children, Dianna Kroeker, Dennis Dixon, Suzanne Pierce and Angela Schultz Lyda. He is also survived by spouses, eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
