With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert Arthur Mathisen (Hillsboro, Oregon), born in Tacoma, Washington, who passed away on October 7, 2023 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alf Mathisen and Catherine Mathisen (Gilchrist); his sister Marilyn; and his siblings-in-law, John Pearson and Dianne Mathisen.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Clappe; his sons, Robert (Marithony Mathisen), Steven (Lynnette Mathisen) and Micheal Mathisen of Forest Grove; and his brother Carl Mathisen of Anchorage. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
