It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leroy Bates in Hillsboro, Oregon, who passed away on September 27, 2023, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothea Bates; his sons, Russell Bates (Linnea Bowman) and Jim Bates (Mary Bates); his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Christina, Michael, Stephanie, Rachel, Timothy and Rebecca; his great grandchildren, Meredith and Jane; and his grandchildren, Rhiannon, Benjamin, Will and Willow.
