He is survived by: his parents, Holger Mathew Pihl Sr. and Lena Stevens; his wife Alice; and his children, Deborah Martin (Leon) of Evans, Barbara Alley of Portland, Becky Mehringer (Tom) of Hillsboro, Kate Orr (Dave) of Philomath, Mike Pihl of Vernonia and Matt Pihl (Julie) of Banks.
