He was predeceased by: his parents, Aaron Wallace Putnam and Katherine Putnam (Nathan); his wife Geraldine Irene "Geri" Umber; and his siblings, Irene (Walter Dockter), Archie, Duane and Jim Putnam.
He is survived by: his children, Donna Cristal of Phoenix, Arizona, Kathy Theriault of Hillsboro, Oregon, Eugene (Sandi Putnam) of Hillsboro and David Putnam of Hillsboro, Oregon; his sister Loraine Borin of Cloquet, Minnesota; and his sisters-in-law, Maxine Putnam of Cloquet and Evelyn Putnam of Cloquet, Minnesota.. He is also survived by his six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
