She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Schmit and Evelyn Schmit; and her brother Eugene Bishop. She is survived by: her sibling Jeanna Schmit; her spouse Gene McCray; her grandchildren, Cheyenne and Jaden; her daughter Geanette; her son-in-law John Schmerber; her granddaughter Mary; her aunt Ellyn; her son David Bryant; and her close friend Geanette.
