She was predeceased by: her parents, Shoji Kumasaka and Matsumi Ishii Kumasaka; her husband Takeshi "Tug" Hanami; her son Jon Y. Hanami; and her siblings, Akira Kumasaka, Haruo "Ham" Kumasaka, Roland Shozo Kumasaka, Mitsuko Furuyama, May Fujioka and Mutsuko Kumasaka.
She is survived by: her children, Mark Minoru Hanami of Mountain Home, Arkansas, Janice Kiku Hanami of Hermiston and Gail Asa Shenfield (Floyd) of Omaha, Nebraska.; her granddaughter Heather Hanami; and her great grandchild Amir Makai Murchison-Hanami.
