He was predeceased by: his parents, George Sobotta and Ann Grieser Sobotta; his siblings, Richard Sobotta (Dick), George Sobotta (Junior), Gloria Mullay, Rosemary Webb and John Sobotta (Jack); and his son James Jerome Sobotta.
He is survived by: his wife Kay; his brother Bob Sobotta (Loretta); his children, John Sobotta, Julie Kane (Dan), Karin Sobotta, Diana Lilley (Steve), Scott Sobotta, Steven Sobotta and Joshua Sobotta; his grandchildren, Jon, Annie, Ashley, Michael, Kyle, Jacob, Alyssa, Jessica, Tina, Denise, Benjamin, Kayce, Nicole, Arielle, Mariah, Kylee and Dawn-Rose; and his great grandchildren, Haley, Lucas, Jare and Knox. He is also survived by numerous other great grandchildren nieces and nephews.
Because of the limitation on gatherings due to the Pandemic, a family mass will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Boardman, Oregon with burial to follow at the Hermiston Cemetery, Hermiston, Oregon.
