He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Dyer and Gladys Dyer (McCoy); and his brothers, Stan Dyer, David Dyer, Jerry Dyer, Richard Dyer, Tommy Calder and Johnny Minor (Calder).

He is survived by: his wife Kim Dyer; his children, Reese Kestler (Randy), Joseph Dyer (Jessica) and Heather Smith (Casey); his sister Irene Walchli; his grandchildren, Breannah, Ryland, TeeJay, Madden, Bryan, Matthew, Aubree, Carly, Myleigh, Devon, Darian and Ethan; and his cousins, Dachshund and Chloe. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews.
