He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Mitchell and Frances Tolbert Mitchell; his wife Bonnie Mitchell; his children, Rick Mitchell and Deborah Mitchell; and his grandson Shaun Mitchell.
He is survived by: his former wife Bonnie L. Belliston; his children, Brenda Townsend of Lake Stevens, WA and Steve Mitchell of Kennewick, WA; and his siblings, David Mitchell of Grants, Gerald, Delbert, Berdene, Lawana, Vernon and Ella Mae. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
