He was predeceased by: his mother Betty Lou Getchell (Bjerke); and his grandparents, James, Margaret Getchell, Ed, Janet Skoubo, Edwin and Gladys Bjerke.
He is survived by: his father Gerald "Jerry" Getchell; and his siblings, Brian Getchell (Chris), Brett Getchell (Bonnie) and Jeri Marie Getchell Gossett. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Burns Mortuary Chapel (685 W Hermiston Ave, Hermiston, OR 97838).
