He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Snell and LaVere Snell; his sisters, Ilene and Jacky Hiatt; and his grandson Kyle Cruz.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Snell; and his children, Ron Snell of Bend, OR, Rusty Smith of Prineville, OR, Denise Lini of Colorado Springs, CO and Wendie Rogers of St. Helens, OR. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren.
