He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Edward Wellnitz and Wahnita Wellnitz; his wife Edna Wellnitz; his daughters, Erin Wellnitz, Michele Wellnitz and Pauline Johnson; his children-in-law, Tim Johnson, Laura Wellnitz and Teresa Kozic; his sister Bette Savini; his brother-in-law Ete Savini; and his son Kirk Wellnitz. He was also cherished by 7 grandchildren and a great grandchild.
