It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Philip Earl Shimer (Happy Valley, Oregon), who passed away on November 18, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Shimer and Esther Shimer; and his brother Paul Shimer (late Janice Shimer). He is survived by: his children, Grant Shimer and Quinn Shimer (Tia Shimer); his grandchildren, Tyler Shimer and Ryan Shimer; his great grandchild Parker; and his wife Janice Ferchland. He is also survived by his family, friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to Meals on Wheels, a cause close to Phil's heart.
