He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Clayton Stanford and Norma "Louise" Jacobson; his brothers, Clay and John; and his daughter Kristan.

He is survived by: his wife Krystal; his brother Lee (Mary); and his children, Gary (Sara), Katherine (Tony), Jenny (Mark), Robert, Jessi (Jake), Brian (Romina) and Oscar. He is also survived by his 17 grandchildren.
