He is survived by: his former wife Grace Ann Cooley; his wife Gracie Gatchell of Happy Valley, OR; his children, Eric Gatchell (Beth) of Sandy, OR, Wendy Smith (Craig) of Happy Valley, OR and Nichole Nilson (Gary) of Macomb, MI; his sister Marlene McGinnis of Portland, OR; his niece Shannon Prince (Doug) of Portland, OR; his grandchildren, Marques Gatchell, Ashabel Gatchell, Denali Tervo, Paige Smith, Gary Nilson, Lousara Gatchell, Jenna Nilson and Jack Nilson; and his great grandchild Zayla Mae Tervo.
