She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo Smith and Necia Smith of Mary's Academy; her husband Fred Butkins; her sister Sherma Schellenberg; and her grandson Jeffrey Henkel.
She is survived by: her children, Marilyn Rudd (Lieven) of Oregon City, OR, Philip Butkins (Kelly) of Tucson, AZ, Bradley Butkins of Red Rock, AZ and Douglas Butkins of Gresham, OR; and her siblings, Sandy Brown of Council, ID, Veronica Brown of Portland, OR and Steven Smith of Fernley, NV. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Bateman Carroll Funeral Home (520 W Powell Blvd, Gresham, OR 97030). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Henry Catholic Church (346 NW 1st St, Gresham, OR 97030).
