He was predeceased by: his son Mark Whitehead; his former wife Bevrol Whitehead; and his brother Mike. He is survived by: his wife Marjie Whitehead (La Count); his son Matthew Whitehead (Debbie); his stepson Darin La Count (Jaymi La Count); his siblings, Dave Whitehead (Patsy) and Patsie (Marlin); and his grandsons, Aiden and Austin La Count. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Barton Church (25400 SE, OR-224, Boring, OR 97009).
