He was predeceased by: his wife Nancy Ashton; and his son Michael Schantzen. He is survived by: his sons, Eric Schantzen and Matt Schantzen; his grandchildren, Michael, Sarah, Madison, Taylor, Penka, Kamelia, Zoya and James; and his great grandchildren, Ryder, Jessica, Alexander and Gabriel. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Shepherds Without Borders Rescue in Dennis's memory.
