He was predeceased by: his sisters, Darline and Jeannette Hartless. He is survived by: his fiancée Janine Baird of Grants Pass; his children, Cara Vierra of Coos Bay and Joshua Hartless of Cicero; his siblings, Christine Eltagonde of San Jose, CA and David Hartless of Grants Pass; and his grandchildren, Kayla, Kimberly Vierra of Coos Bay, Easton Anderson of Indiana and Aydan Peterson of Washington.
