He was predeceased by: his parents, William Sies and Myrtle Sies; his stepmother Mary Alice Sies; and his siblings, Glen Sies, Warren Sies, Norman Sies and Vivian Ellsworth (Sies).

He is survived by: his children, Brenda Sies, Linda Henderson (Hutchinson Ks), Glen Sies, Lori Reynolds and Joel Hilton. He is also survived by eight grandkids and seven great grandkids.
