Diane Locicero McWhorter wrote a sympathy message

“When I was in Kindergarten, living down the street on Monterey Circle, I used to walk up Colton St. and pick up my friend, Bryan Berquist, and walk to Monte Vista School together. Every morning, Bryan was never ready, Mrs Berquist would invite me in, offer me breakfast, or toast, or juice and eventually send us on our way. I don't know if you remember things when you were only 5 years old, but I do. I remember the kind people and the mean people mainly. Mrs. Berquist, in my eyes, was an angel here on earth. She was always so kind, affectionate, and caring. The years rolled by and I ran into her just a few times. The last time was at CHOMP. I was working there, and she was visiting, and we ended up on the same elevator. I glanced over at her and almost screamed, "IS THAT YOU, MRS. BERQUIST?" She smiled, and said yes......when I said, I'm Diane Locicero. She said, "Oh Diane, how very nice to see you sweetie." We hugged, chatted for another 45 seconds, hugged again and said goodbye. That was the last time I saw that beautiful woman. To Bryan, Kenny, and all other family members and friends, please accept my sincere and heartfelt condolences. She was one amazing woman who will be greatly missed. Well done, good and faithful servant, Margot, well done. Enter now into the joy of the Lord. Diane Locicero-McWhorter”
