Though Leona may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Leona touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Rutherford Birchard "Hayes" Pierce and Julia Grace Dykstra Pierce; and her siblings, Grace Graham, George, Hazel and Joyce Pierce.
She is survived by: her children, Carol Stobbe (Ron) of Pleasant Hill, Dave Nealon of Portland, Ken Nealon (JoAnn) of Newberg and Mark Nealon (Paul) of Long Beach, CA.; and her sisters-in-law, Hazel Nealon of Coburg and Fran Pierce of Hillsboro. She is also survived by her 6 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren; by 5 nephews and 3 nieces; and by many more of her extended family and dear friends.
