He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Alvin Scharpen and Dorothy Scharpen; his wife Jacquelin Hamilton (Jackie) of Grants Pass, OR; his children, Randy Scharpen (Sandy) of Bonneau, SC, Laurie Cunningham (Thom) of Gresham, OR, Mark Scharpen of Franktown, CO, Scott Scharpen (Carolyn) of Murrieta, CA and Brian Scharpen (Delynn) of Grants Pass, OR; and also, Eric Ross of Edwards, CO, Brian Ross (Denaire Britton) of Saginaw, MI, Selena Ross (Eddy Bringelson) of Happy Valley, OR, Rachel Scanlon (Mike) of Grants Pass, OR, Molly Ward (Josh) of Grants Pass, OR, Charles Hamilton Jr. of Tigard, OR and Ron (Eileen) of St. Peter, MN.. He was also cherished by twelve grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
