“Dear Shelly , today will be a very hard day for you and the family. Let me write a few words and thoughts that come to me when I think of Karl. Karl was family to me ,he and the rest of the family welcomed me with open arms and hearts when I first came to Coos Bay. I got to know Karl as a very open, friendly and helpful person who loved his family . I have fond memories of a camping trip to "Strawberry Point" in Utah? or a hunting trip in Oregon. The time we went to Mexico for the 4th of July and I was stuck in Tijuana for 1 week on the way back, he kept his cool. When he and Zandra came to Germany we went on a round trip through Ireland , travel through Germany . Those memories are priceless, that`s is how I would like and will keep Karl in my memory. Unfortunately I cannot pay the last respects personally, but I will be there with thoughts and with my heart. I wish you and the family much strength and hope for the upcoming time. Please give the family my condolences Christine Jones”
