It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dennis Jay Schmitke (Grants Pass, Oregon), who passed away on April 19, 2023, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Schmitke and Pauline Schmitke; his wife Linda Schmitke (Handley); his daughter Kristin Erdmann (Benji); his granddaughters, Hannah and Maya; his daughter Heidi Pastega (Jason); his grandchildren, Dario and Alessia; his son AJ Schmitke (Jessica); his grandchildren, Lincoln, Parker and Weston; and his sister Connie Baker. He was also cherished by family; and his loving brothers- and sisters-in-law and his nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, Dennis's family has requested donations be made to the Sheriff's Office Foundation of Washington County Oregon (//wcsofoundation.org/donate-today), which provides funding for programs and services that are not part of the regular budget throughout Washington County.
